Villa di Tiberio

The Villa of Tiberius overlooks the sea at Sperlonga, along the Via Flacca. The remains of the Roman imperial residence extend around a large natural grotto, used for banquets and decorated with sculptural groups depicting the adventures of Odysseus.

The visit combines the archaeological site with the National Archaeological Museum of Sperlonga, which houses the sculptures found here. Through the villa, the grotto and the museum galleries, the route explores this stretch of coast’s connection with Roman history and the myth of Odysseus.
