Museo del Chiodo

Certaldo · Toscana

About this place

The Nail Museum, housed in Palazzo Giannozzi in Certaldo Alto, grew from the collection of Giancarlo Masini, a local carpenter, artist and storyteller. Nails of different shapes and uses provide a starting point for stories about trades, everyday gestures and workshop life.

Tools, drawings and anecdotes accompany the objects in the collection, offering a different stop from the village’s art museums. The municipality lists opening on request: to arrange a visit, contact the museum service or tourist information office.
