Centro storico e Balcone delle Marche

Cingoli sits on the summit of Monte Circe, among noble palaces, stone doorways and narrow streets that follow the contours of the hill. Corso Garibaldi links some of the main places in the historic centre, while the gates and stretches of walls preserve the connection between the town and its surrounding countryside.

Its name, the Balcony of the Marche, comes from views across the hills, with Monte Conero and the Adriatic on the horizon on clear days. A walk can alternate the streets of the centre with terraces along the walls, allowing for slopes and paved sections.
